10 July, 2009 - Bhutanese visiting Thailand either for medical, vacation or business purposes are exempted from the tourist visa fee of Nu 1,250 until March 2010. This was decided recently by the Thai government as a measure to revive its tourism industry in the wake of the global economic slowdown, which had led to a decline in tourist arrivals.
