CLIFTON — A motorcycle run and barbecue will be held Saturday to raise money for a foundation that helps pediatric cancer patients and their families.
The David Nicholas Foundation was created in memory of 4-year-old David Nicholas Porter, who died from Wilms’ tumor, a rare form of kidney cancer, in 2006.
At the age of 3, Ashley Lauren Vermeulen of Brick Township was diagnosed with Wilms Tumor (kidney cancer). Vermeulen is now 21 years old and studying dance in college, and the cancer survivor uses her talent to give back to the community.
