Bureau of Motor Vehicles Commissioner Andy Miller said Wednesday that the requirement is part of an effort to stem identity theft by complying with the 9/11 commission's recommendations and federal law.
Indiana motorists will have to supply much more documentation to prove their identities when they renew a driver's license or obtain a new one beginning in 2010.
