About 100 people attend Friday evening’s Taxed Enough Already (TEA) party outside the Madison County Courthouse which included four speakers and special music. Topics addressed at the anti-tax rally included the president’s proposal to increase the federal government’s control of medical care and the “Cap and Trade” bill. The TEA parties are a reference to the 1773 Boston Tea Party.
With July 4 falling on a Saturday this year, county, state and federal offices are closed today in observance of the holiday.
