TWRA plans extra boat patrols

The water might be up, but authorities say boat crashes across the state so far appear to be down from last year. Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency officers worked a total of 76 wrecks statewide through the end of June, according to TWRA statistics. Officials say that's a drop from the same time last year, even with increased rain and higher lake levels.
