The strain on pocketbooks is beginning to lessen. Statewide, prices for a gallon of regular gasoline have fallen by almost $1 in the past 12 months.
Region hasn't seen prices this low since winter 2005. But how long do you think it will it last?
For the past two months or so, prices at the pump have plummeted.

Motorists in Douglas have seen the price of gasoline drop from $3.70 a gallon in late July to $2.33 in mid November.
When gas prices began to climb above $4 per gallon this summer, Ashlander Paul Niestrath switched from his diesel truck to the old Subaru wagon his children drove as teenagers for its fuel economy. Now that prices are plummeting, however, he's not switching back.
