Major Alan C. Burr, U.S. Army Retired, 87, of Chambersburg, passed away on January 2, 2009. Born June 10, 1921, in Delaware, Ohio, he was the son of the late George Clarence and Jane Adele Anthes Burr. Alan was inducted into The U.S. Army in 1942 and served in the Philippines, occupied Germany and Okinawa.
