No more closure of Parliament road

Roads leading to Parliament will not be closed in future during sessions since security has improved, Police spokesman SSP Ranjith Gunasekera said. He said that Parliament roads were closed during Parliament sessions due to the security threat to Ministers and MPs and VIPs attending Parliament.

Twenty member team for Lusofonia Games

A team of 20 competitors and seven officials will leave the shores to participate at the forthcoming Lusofonia games to be held in Portugal. Nine athletes (six men and three women) eight beach Volleyaballers (four men-four women) two Paddlers (men) and Taekwondo player comprise the competitor list.

Task Force 8 stumble on jewellery bag
