I am proud to say I played on Mr. Rentschler’s first team at Oley Valley. Then, 26 years later, I was an assistant coach at his last game as the Oley Valley Legion coach. By association, I consider this my bragging rights and minor claim to fame. I am proud to have that distinction. What a truly unique, influential and wonderful man he was.
