On Nov. 29, Matawan held its third annual 5K Turkey Trot. This year's event was the largest to date, and this was due in part to the overwhelming support received from our town's emergency services, local business sponsorships, surrounding towns support and of course our dozens of volunteers from our community.

The Jesse Kalisher Gallery in Carrboro raised $1,200 in its fourth annual auction for the Fisher House Foundation, which provides free housing for the families of military wounded within walking distance of hospitals.
