Rural homeless often don't fit big-city depictions on TV

The classic picture of a homeless person on television and in movies is a bedraggled, drunk or extremely mentally unstable middle-aged man, or sometimes woman, wildly harassing people for money along busy streets and sidewalks. The homeless, as depicted in big cities huddle in masses, parking their boxes in alleys and secluded areas.
