Survey says auto execs pessimistic about future

Chrysler's 53 percent drop in December sales was far worse than Ford Motor Co. or General Motors Corp., and analysts doing the math say it probably won't survive the year as an independent company, despite $4 billion in government loans and the possibility of more federal aid.
