Researchers at the Malaghan Institute of Medical Research in Wellington, New Zealand have found that abnormally proliferating human T-cells, rapidly dividing cancer cells such as primary myeloid and lymphoid leukemic blast cells undergo programmed cell death when exposed briefly to the investigational anti-tumor drug phenoxodiol.

WESTMINSTER, Colo.----Allos Therapeutics, Inc. today announced the completion of patient enrollment in the Company's randomized Phase 2b clinical trial comparing pralatrexate to erlotinib in patients with Stage IIIB/IV non-small cell lung cancer who are, or have been, cigarette smokers who have failed treatment with at least one prior platinum-based chemotherapy regimen.
