You know the routine. You bring home something from the store - perhaps a new toy or a small electronic item - and you nearly get a hernia or slice your hand open trying to split the clamshell blister package that surrounds it. Then you throw the whole mess of plastic and cardboard into the garbage or recycling bin and forget about it.
