Water already topping levees near Snohomish

River forecast to reach record levels when it crests at 10 p.m. SNOHOMISH – Water is flowing over the top of the levee at French Creek and First Street west of Avenue D in downtown Snohomish was shut down this morning as officials brace for what could be the worst flood on record.
