The audience at the Son Volt show Saturday afternoon was getting poured on one moment, and the next the sun was peeking out and heating their backs. It was during Son Volt’s set that a dreary day, with clouds that dropped little showers here and there, finally showed signs of brightening up.

THEY really can be a vile lot, politicians. To rely on the apathy of those they supposedly decree to serve shows their discontempt for the populous. The latest scam comes on the back of a pretty darn accurate appraisal - that pollies have, for too long, taken advantage of the perks of their office.
