Largest U.S. Cheese Maker was in East Aurora

At East Aurora, Erie County, to-day, the firm of Richardson, Beebe & Co., made, it is claimed, the largest cheese ever pressed. It weighs 3,300 pounds. The milk used weighed 16 tons. The cheese is made for a Buffalo dealer. Three others, weighing from half a ton to a ton and a half are in press for Liverpool and London dealers. - The New York Times, Sept. 23, 1885
