U.S. Forest Service seeks public comment, meetings planned

The U.S. Forest Service, Pike and San Isabel National Forests, Pikes Peak Ranger District is seeking comments on the South Rampart Travel Management Plan proposal. Ultimately, the plan will determine motorized roads and trails and non-motorized trails on National Forest lands within El Paso and Teller counties.

Meeting to discuss power transmission project

In order to deliver clean, renewable energy to where it can be utilized, the power must be transmitted from where it is generated. In the case of the proposed 460-mile SunZia Southwest Transmission Project, that means building two 500-kilovolt alternate current transmission lines across central and southern New Mexico through southeastern and central Arizona.
