Echoes of bygone times on the Pigeon Roost Trail

The Pigeon Roost Trail is a 8.4 mile loop through Beaver Lake State Park in the Hobbs Conservation Area. And while it doesn't reach the spectacular that's often encountered in the Boston or St. Francois Mountains, it's a soul-satisfying walk nonetheless, balanced between a re-estalished forest with some huge pine trees and echoes of things gone by.
