London Underground May Have $2.8 Billion Deficit (Update1)

July 10 (Bloomberg) -- The London Underground , the city- owned railway, may have to boost fares or cut service because of a recession-related cash shortage of as much as 1.7 billion pounds ($2.8 billion), legislators in the U.K. capital said.
