A jury found Twin Falls podiatrist and anti-nuke activist Peter Rickards guilty of battery and trespassing at a public meeting after a two-day trial that ended Tuesday, Rickards said Wednesday.
A new assisted living center is being built in Grantsville and will open next spring. The 10,500-square-foot facility will be known as Diamond Jane’s Assisted Living Center, and will be located on 2.3 acres on Hale Street, immediately southeast of Grantsville Middle School.
Peter Rickards was arrested in June while passing out leaflets at a public informational meeting put on by Alternate Energy Holdings Inc., which is seeking to build a nuclear power plant in Elmore County.
