Natural Gas Outlook: Prices Decrease At Both Spot & Futures Markets

Moderate temperatures across the lower 48 States outside of Texas and a favorable supply situation led to widespread declines in natural gas spot prices at almost all market locations since last Wednesday, July 1. In addition, the decrease in demand resulting from the holiday-shortened week provided further downward pressure on prices.

On Friday, March 20, the USDA released the March Cattle on Feed Report. I would consider the report to befriendly to the market as it showed placements 4% below the average trade guess and only slightly above a year ago.

others also read... I don’t understand. The district spent millions of dollars to expand Thirsk Dam, nearly doubling our storage capacity. After very dry fall and winter seasons, all of our reservoirs (except Garnett Lake) are full and spilling. So why have we gone to Stage 2 watering restrictions?
