The planned relocation of the U.S. Marine Corps’ Futenma Air Station within Okinawa Prefecture appears likely to go unfulfilled by the targeted 2014, as the government is now eyeing allocating no money in the budget for the next fiscal year to finance new contracts for full-scale construction of a new airfield, government sources said Friday.
