Daughter worries about mom, MRSA

Dear Betty, My mom is scheduled for surgery, and she's a little scared, especially after reading about hospital patients getting MRSA infections. While her surgery is a pretty common one (gall bladder) I can't help feeling a little scared now too. Do you know of any things we can do make sure she comes through her hospital stay free of infection?
