Father, son guide church through 50 years

Estes founded the Bethel Temple Christian Center in 1959, hoping to bring another church to the then-sparsely populated north side of Abilene. “The church began here in our 20 by 40 (foot) living room,” said Virginia Estes, wife of the late Rev.
