MCU maker Weltrend 2Q09 revenues up 25%

Microcontroller unit (MCU) design house Weltrend Semiconductor saw June revenues increase 10% sequentially to NT$160 million (US$4.86 million) and second-quarter revenues rise 25% sequentially to NT$478 million, thanks to recovered demand for digital TV (DTV) MCUs and panel related products.

Weltrend readies to ship motor drivers for notebooks
