When demand began to rise for a dance-infused fitness class, Central YMCA answered with Zumba. Instructor Jeanette Wisenall said the YMCA staff researched and found Zumba to be the best fit for the area. Jeanette got certified in Atlanta and has been instructing in Columbus since January.

That held true Saturday afternoon during the annual Diversity Picnic, hosted by the Wilkes-Barre chapter of the NAACP and the Diversity Council from Misericordia University, as people from all backgrounds – young, old, male, female, white, black and Latino – descended on Kirby Park for a day of fun, food, music and laughter.
