NEW YORK, July 8 (Reuters) The yen and U.S. dollar climbed broadly on Wednesday as risk aversion rose on uncertainty about the global economy and U.S. corporate earnings.

TORONTO (Reuters) - The Canadian dollar climbed against the U.S. dollar on Thursday as higher commodity prices and a rebound in global equities helped ease investor aversion to risk, boosting currencies perceived to be riskier than the greenback.
TORONTO (Dow Jones)--The Canadian dollar ended higher Thursday on a broad revival of global risk appetites that weakened safe haven assets like the U.S. dollar, though gains for the Canadian currency were of a relatively smaller magnitude owing to less support from oil and other commodity prices.
