In news out of Genesee County, fire caused thousands of dollars worth of damage to a home in the city of Batavia Tuesday night. The fire broke out just after 9:30 a.m. on Oak Street. Firefighters say when they arrived on scene they found heavy flames coming from a second-floor bedroom.
Some lawmakers say the lack of legislative action in Albany is unacceptable. "I hope that the outcry from the public that we didn't address these problems will continue to rise and the crescendo will bring us back before the end of the year to make these tough choices," said Assemblyman Joe Morelle.
