Lipitor Lower Risk Of Cardiovascular Eventa Compared To Simvastatin, Study Shows

Pfizer announced the results of an observational study that showed patients taking LipitorĀ® (atorvastatin calcium) had a significant 13 percent reduction in the relative risk of experiencing a cardiovascular event compared with patients taking simvastatin (ZocorĀ®) therapy. The patients in this study did not have evident cardiovascular disease and were newly initiated on either treatment.
