Mortgage rates fall as OCR cut 1.5%

Bank mortgage rates fell yesterday just minutes after Reserve Bank governor Alan Bollard slashed the official cash rate 1.5% to 5%. Kiwibank reduced its one-year fixed rate to 6.49% and its floating rate to 7.45%. SBS Bank dropped its floating rate 1.95% to 7.2%, a four-year low.
