The Eden girls basketball team set five goals before the start of the season. The Raiders have accomplished all but one of them, and they inched a step closer toward achieving the final one by breaking a long championship drought Thursday night.
Joelle Pollak's first basket from the field was an historic one Tuesday night. Her three-pointer with three minutes left in the first quarter broke the all-time Kenmore East scoring record for boys and girls in a 53-38 win at Niagara-Wheatfield. Pollak finished with 25 points, giving her 1,451 in her career, putting her ahead of the record set by Mike O'Bryan in 1993.
