DeMay Living Center residents were honored with the gift of a flag that was flown in their honor over the 305th Tactical Psychological Operations Company in Basra, Iraq on Christmas Day 2009. The flag was presented to the residents by Kathleen Babcock, mother of Col. Stacy Babcock, the commanding officer of the base.

MAZAMA — A free “Love This Valley” horse-drawn sleigh ride is planned from dusk to 8 p.m. Sunday in Mazama. Interested riders are asked to meet at the Mazama corral parking lot for an early winter outfitters sleigh. The Methow Conservancy is sponsoring the event.
