Dr. George Q: I feel as though I constantly have phlegm. Is this a problem ? A: I've done columns about stool, urine, semen, pus, vomitus, and vaginal discharges. How I neglected "phlegm" is a travesty that I intend to put to bed right now. Phlegm is that sticky, thick fluid that is secreted by the mucous membranes of the respiratory tract, and expelled.
