PETALING JAYA: National car maker Proton Holdings Bhd’s initiative to retrofit rear centre lap seat belts for free will incur a cost of about RM7 million, said its managing director Datuk Syed Zainal Abidin Syed Mohamed Tahir.
PROTON Holdings Bhd will spend RM7 million to retrofit rear centre lap seatbelts for about 226,000 units of Saga and Gen2 models manufactured between 2004 and 2008.
