Frewsburg Gala Days, Old Home Week End Today

FREWSBURG - Jamestown's Shawn Simpson turned a mistake into a way to make money and put a smile on the faces of those visiting area festivals including those at Frewsburg's 85th Old Home Week. The annual volunteer fire department fundraiser began Wednesday and continues through today. The carnival is complete with bands, food, rides, games and more. It is also where Simpson set up his craft.

Running through Blaine's Lakes on the 4th

Chip Tabor, 37, of St. Louis Park, approaches the end of a running course Saturday morning, July 4, to finish first overall in Blaine's third annual Lakes 8K, which had participants run over trails and through neighborhoods of the city's Lakes development located east of Radisson Road. Tabor's listed time for the race was 28:32, for a per-mile pace of 5 minutes, 45 seconds.
