Senobio and Augustine Nila did not come to Aurora in the early 1920s to start a legacy. They left a poor town in Mexico to find work and opportunity. Changing a city and starting a tradition was simply the unintended result of their ambition. On Friday, the Nila family's influence will be honored by the city of Aurora, when a section of Indian Avenue is given the honorary title of "Nila Avenue."
