Tree limbs downed, two injured during storm

High winds and rain downed tree limbs and caused power outages Wednesday in Coppell. The tree limbs caused some damage to homes and cars. “We had winds at about 68 mph coming into the west side of town,” said Eric Greaser, deputy fire chief.

FIRE: Couple rescued in Rochester Road fire

Two elderly Rochester Road residents were rescued from a fire in Middleport at 12:40 a.m. Sunday. Donald, 71, and Marion Lepkoske, 70, were transported to Medina Hospital where they were treated for smoke inhalation and released.

Eleven homes affected by structure fire in Mt. Mesa

On Tuesday June 30 at approximately 1:42 p.m., a call was received by the Kern County Fire Department for a structure fire in the 4500 block of Juniper Lane in Mt Mesa. Approximately 100 firefighters responded to the incident, from Kern County Fire Department, US Forest Service and Bureau of Land Management.
