Today marks the 233 rd anniversary celebrating the signing of America’s Declaration of Independence. America’s Founding Fathers knew that achieving independence would require winning a difficult war that risked bringing ruin on their fortunes, friends, and families if they did not succeed.
Sri Lanka: JHU to withdraw support to Government if 13th amendment is fully implemented

The Jathika Hela Urumaya (JHU), the Buddhist monks political party, Monday declared that it would withdraw its support to the government led by President Mahinda Rajapakse if it fully implements the 13th Amendment to the Constitution or attempts to bring any other solution for the ethnic conflict devolving more powers to provinces including land and police.
