Jan. 6 (Bloomberg) -- Royal Dutch Shell Plc cut by almost 30 percent the price of natural gas to be sold in India this month because of competition from cheaper naphtha, a buyer said.

(RTTNews) - State gas utility GAIL India Ltd. has bought 50 million standard cubic metres of liquefied natural gas or LNG from Shell India at $11.7 per million British thermal unit to plug the gap in supplies resulting from the shutdown of Petronet LNG Ltd's Dahej terminal from January 6 to 12, reports media quoting a statement from Director (Marketing), B.C. Tripathi.
