(AP) -- Thousands of excited visitors flocked Saturday to a zoo in northern Thailand for the first public viewing of a baby panda, which has been featured on Thai front pages almost every day since her birth six weeks ago.

Biologists confirm salmonella in bird deaths

CALDWELL, Idaho - State biologists are confirming that salmonella was the cause of death for about 30 songbirds found at a home in Hailey. Last week, a Hailey resident notified the Idaho Department of Fish and Game after finding the dead pine siskins in her backyard.
