LONDON (SHARECAST) - Equities continue to drift lower with blue-chips faring worse than second-liners. Better than expected Producer Prices data has limited the falls in London but expectations of a weak opening on Wall Street has not helped matters.
■ Bovis has scrapped its interim dividend but said the housing market has shown signs of stabilisation during the first half. ■ Bodycote was downbeat today as the engineering firm said half-year revenue fell by a fifth and warned of a marginal operating loss before exceptional items.
LONDON (SHARECAST) - Considering resource stocks are once again declining in line with weaker commodity prices London is holding up reasonably well, boosted by better than expected Producer Prices data, where output prices in June fell 0.2%, after rising 0.4% in May. Analysts had been expecting June to show a rise of 0.3%.
