Local Resident to Scale Kilimanjaro for Charity

Ron Book has his sights set high--19,365 feet above sea level, to be precise. That's the height of the peak of Mt. Kilimanjaro, which the 72-year-old East Aurora resident hopes to reach in mid-October. He will leave home Oct. 7 and begin the climb on Oct. 10. "It's going to be a seven-day adventure," Book said.
