UW System Board of Regents approves 5.5 percent tuition increase

The University of Wisconsin System's Board of Regents on Thursday approved a 5.5 percent tuition hike for resident students attending one of the system's four-year institutions during the 2009-10 academic year. That's the same increase approved by the board in each of the past two years, after hikes of 6.8 percent in 2007 and 6.9 percent in 2006.
