Nine sworn in to elected seats

Nine elected officials were sworn in Thursday in a New Year’s Day ceremony at the historic Val Verde County Courthouse. Family members, friends and political supporters of the nine packed the second-floor courtroom of the Val Verde County Court-at-Law for the 10 a.m. Thursday event.
