Gasoline prices up, oil edges lower

Gas prices in the Knoxville area jumped another 4 cents overnight to an average of $1.588 on Wednesday for a gallon of regular unleaded, according to the AAA Daily Fuel Gauge Report. Energy prices generally edged lower across the board Wednesday in advance of a government report that’s expected to show U.S. crude oil reserves rose by 1.5 million barrels last week.
