Planning board will meet tonight

The Boaz Planning Commission will meet today at 6 p.m. in the Boaz Public Library to hear requests from three property owners for rezoning. Charles L. and Freida S. Heflin and Irene Cooley have requested property they own at 3400 Bethsaida Road be zoned agricultural.

Flood warning extended

Marshall and DeKalb counties are under a flash flood warning until 8:30 p.m. Rain has fallen since early Monday night, and portions of the Albertville/Boaz area have gotten about 3 inches of rain in the past several hours, sometimes at a rate of greater than a quarter-inch per hour.
